TECHNICAL NOTES

Every parameter,
All have applicable conditions.

A waterproof connector's performance comes from its specific structure, materials, and assembly. Selection is grounded only when the model and the conditions are considered together.

01

IP67 protection rating

IP67 indicates dust protection and short-term immersion protection under specified test conditions. The connector must be properly mated and locked, with seals intact, using cable of the specified outer diameter and completed installation sealing. Protection of unmated ports, the other end of the cable and the device cutout must be handled separately. Ratings and test conditions for specific models are subject to the product specification.

02

Dust protection boundary

The dust protection requirements of IP6X apply to the verified sealed state. End faces, sealing rings and locking areas should be kept clean to prevent sand and dust from being trapped and affecting mating and sealing. The dust rating does not mean the connector can be used in explosive dust atmospheres.

03

UV resistant

"UV resistance of 1000 hours or more" is performance information provided by the company; its applicability should correspond to the material grade, color, product version and the corresponding test records. Accelerated aging duration cannot be directly converted into years of outdoor service life; UV light source, irradiance, temperature-humidity cycling and evaluation items follow the corresponding report.

04

Rated current and voltage

Rated current is stated per individual contact or designated contact group of the selected configuration; rated voltage is stated per the corresponding insulation structure. Simultaneous energization of multiple contacts, conductor cross section, ambient temperature, and heat dissipation conditions affect temperature rise and allowable current capacity. Selection results are for initial screening only; final selection must be verified against the datasheet and temperature-rise validation under actual operating conditions.

05

Hybrid power and signal configuration

"3+2" and similar notations indicate the number of contacts in two contact groups. Current, voltage and wiring specifications must be verified separately; the rated currents of the two groups cannot be added together as an overall system rating. Different pin counts and contact-face layouts do not thereby imply intermateability; the viewing direction of the contact face, keying, and male/female contacts must all be confirmed together.

06

Salt spray and corrosion resistance

"Salt spray of 480 hours or more" is performance information provided by the company for a specific combination of materials and plating. Results apply only to the corresponding plating thickness, specimen condition, test conditions and acceptance criteria, and cannot be directly converted into service life in coastal environments. Appearance corrosion criteria and electrical performance criteria should be confirmed separately.

07

Materials, flammability and Yellow Card

The PA66-RG301 virgin material and UL 94 V-0 information on this page is provided by the company; specifics are subject to the bill of materials, material certificates, and applicable thickness and color for the corresponding product. UL Yellow Card recognition applies to the plastic material and does not mean the complete connector holds the same certification; overmolding compounds, seals, and metal parts should be checked against their respective material specifications.

08

Contacts and plating

Contact base material and plating are selected per the specific product specification. The phosphor-bronze solid contacts and 2 μin gold plating provided by the company apply only to products marked with that configuration; 2 μin is approximately 0.0508 μm. The gold color in renderings expresses material only and is not used to judge plating thickness, finish or the material of internal spring elements.

09

Certification applicability

The scope of UL 2238, UL 1977, TÜV, SAA and other documents is governed by the product models, ratings, structural versions and valid status stated in the certificates; CE is governed by applicable regulations and conformity documents. Corresponding certification documents can be requested during selection per project requirements.

10

LP-32 vibration temperature-rise data

Manufacturer-provided LP-32 verification information: under a 120 A load and 6 g random vibration, temperature rise does not exceed 25 ℃. This temperature rise is relative to ambient temperature, not the absolute contact temperature. Applicable sample version, cable, spectrum, direction, duration, and measurement points are subject to the corresponding test report; this cannot be extrapolated to all vibration or mounting conditions.

Rotatable cable exit and angled-spring contact

The mouth rotation of the LPEVH6-200A is used to adjust cable routing direction during installation; it does not indicate live rotation or slip-ring functionality. 200 A is the manufacturer's product rating information; applicable wire, temperature rise, and environmental conditions should be checked against the specification sheet. "Ring-stable contact" is a descriptive name for the angled-spring contact structure on this page and does not indicate a registered trademark or equivalence to any other brand's proprietary technology.

12

Wire diameter and seal fit

Enter conductor cross section per contact in mm²; cable outer diameter refers to the jacket outer diameter in mm. The two are not interchangeable. Conductor capacity can be pre-screened against the catalog maximum, but the cable outer diameter must fall within the sealing fit range—do not judge solely by whether the product maximum exceeds the cable diameter. AWG follows the corresponding wire gauge in the catalog.

13

Mounting form and face view

Front-mount panel, rear-mount panel, flange, and in-line mating describe the mounting structure; male and female contacts describe the contact form—the two are selected separately. Face views should indicate both the viewing direction and the locating datum; do not infer mating compatibility from left-right mirroring. Panel thickness, cutout, and locking conditions follow the drawing of the corresponding part number.

Image and demonstration notes

Product images are rendered from 3D data provided by the company; lighting, backgrounds, water droplets, light effects and particles illustrate the application environment and cannot replace test results. Protected structures are shown in desensitized appearance illustrations; none may be used as a basis for manufacturing, measurement, wiring or mating. For engineering documentation, apply to LLT per project.

Conditions of use

Installation and maintenance should follow product specifications and equipment safety requirements. Connectors not explicitly rated for live mating should be operated only after power-off. Protection performance depends on seal condition, assembly method, cable fit, and the operating environment; custom designs require corresponding sample validation.
